ISTANBUL MODEL SHOW (formerly World in Scale Model Competition and Exhibition) is an official event traditionally organized by the Modeling Club Association since 2014 and open to the participation of modelers from all over the world. The event, which will be held for the eleventh time this year at Hotel Mercure Altunizade, has the distinction of being the largest modeling meeting in Turkey.

In 2025, the tenth edition of the event saw participation from many modelers both domestically and internationally, showcasing hundreds of beautiful models. The competition included special categories and exhibitions based on themes such as Porsche cars, MIG aircraft, Leopard tanks, and the Pacific War II. In addition, a panel discussion was held on the Nusrat mine-laying ship, a hero of the Gallipoli Naval Battles. Our esteemed guests, Assoc. Prof. Tuğba Eray Biber, Prof. Dr. Burak Samih Gülboy, academician Ufuk Aydıner, and Captain Cihat Gündoğdu, met with the modelers during this panel and presentations.

Lebanese master modeler Imad Bouantoun, invited from abroad, gave a workshop sharing valuable information on diorama making with the modelers.

This year’s event also included a model-making workshop for children. Our aim is to go beyond a hobby and foster culture, art, history, observation, research, development, and manual skills. Our aim is to contribute to the personal development of our children by instilling in them a love for model making, which encompasses many different elements, enabling them to spend their free time more productively and to have a more visionary outlook on life.

Planning continues for the eleventh event, which will take place on May 2-3, 2026, and details will be announced on our website.
